i'm not sure if there are any bolt ons for our mufflers, you can keep searching for universal mufflers and see if there is one that bolts on, but i highly doubt it. i got mine welded on and have had no problems with it.

hey ankiigirl,
i have a custom made bolt-on axle back muffler/exhaust
the oem muffler is attached to a joint right at the axle
all you have to do is screw it off
well that's what the muffler shop did
they took the bolts off,
then custom made an axle back exhaust system for me
all they did was bolt it on where the oem muffler used to be, then used hangers to hang the muffler
no welding
as for the tips.. i have double square tips that i believe are 3 1/2" each...
you might see it better in the pic

anki: i got the borla universal muffler. i don't remember what the width was, i think maybe the 4 inch one. the shop increased the diameter of the piping from where redeye said. the sound is awesome, one of the best that anyone of my friends have heard, you can even ask the people at the SF meet a couple weeks ago. they had to adjust the hooks in order to make the tip of the muffler flush against the bumper, which they did a great job on. i got a single 3 inch tip so it's not too dramatic.

ok, this is what i did... i knew i wanted square tips but no universal muffler had them made specifically with it...
so i went around to a lot of muffler/performance shops looking for the exact ones i wanted
the ones i have are actually tips for domestic cars (Corvette i believe)
so i bought the tips.. each cost me about $70-80 canadian
went to a nother muffler shop.. got them to get a universal muffler with two "tailpipes" coming out at the end... (most of the universal mufflers only have one "tailpipe")
then the dude welded the tips on the the muffler, then bent a pipe for me so it would be a cusom axle-back system
everything cost me about $500 canadian including tax and labour
