bolt broke when changing flat

I was changing a flat when one nut wouldn't come lose. I ened up breaking the bolt. Now my wheel is held by 4 bolts. Can a new bolt be attached or am I looking at a major problem?
Thanks for the help

You'll need a new hub assembly I believe.

I read that I can take out the broken bolt from the hub and put a new one in. could this be true?

Yes, wheel bolts can be removed and replaced-you will have to knock the old bolt out with a hammer, and have a machine shop press a new one in place... good to do them all while your at it to avoid another problem... The bolts should only be 1 or 2 bucks a piece and labor to press one in should only be a buck or two per bolt... Much cheaper than uneccesarilly replacing the whole hub

ahhh this is where I come in. *cracking knuckles* learn from a thief here. LOL

get you a small blow torch, blow it onto the broken bolt. Wait until it gets hot and reddish. Then get you a flat head screw driver and a hammer (a plyer may help too). try to get out off while its soft. No lug lock or gorilla lock stand a chance. :x

I had something similar happen to me a few months ago with my 03 TL-S. In trying to swap out rims, I ended up breaking one of the wheel locks on my car. I took the car over to a local Acura dealership and they were able to remove the broken wheel lock. As I was having vibration / balancing issues with my after market wheels they told me to take it to a NTB because they have the proper balancing machines for aftermarket wheels. After rebalancing the wheels the tire tech went ahead and bolted the wheels back on and unded up snapping of a portion of one of the bolts. Initially they attempted to remove the broken bolt, this required that they remove the brake assy and then knock the pin out. Because of the way the roter was designed, the pin would not come out all the way, they said that they would actually have to disassemble everything in order to replace the pin and that would run about 400 bucks because in doing this they might have to replace all the ball bearings. So, instead of doing this, since the bolt broke about 3/4's of the way up. they were able to re-thread the bolt hence saving it. Don't know if this helps.....

This is the point where you should have spoken with the manager. I don't care how much it costs, they're liable since they broke it. It's not like a 15 year old car with tons of wear on the stud, it's only a couple of years old. The wheel stud broke due to their negligence/carelessness.
