Lightbulb body kit opinions....

OK. I am finally getting some kind of kit for my car. The Value wing set me off. I've been considering the Azect front lip with the rear Skipper lip and painting the factory sideskirts. I really like the Value kit but the whole thing is pretty expensive. I'm open to other options. What other combinations do you guys think would look good? Should I just get the Value front and rear? I think its to subtle looking. I want something noticable. If anyone wants to split shipping with me they can but I'm DEFINITELY ordering on 4/5/02. UNX979 and me are already in on this. SERIOUS people only because this has been tried several times and is never done because people bullsh*t.

Honestly, if you can get the factory Chin Spoiler I think that should be all you put on the car, only cause I am not much into kits plus your car looks really classy with simple additions and not too dramatic ones, that is why I am trying to make my car look like the Japanese Inspire so it looks somewhat aggressive but yet luxurious.

The TL has some pretty smooth lines and when people chooch it out it looses that feel. Dont get me wrong I have seen some pretty sweet kits for cars out there that make them looks fantastic but I havent seen too many kits that impressed me for out 1 Generation TL. The only things I loved was the Aztec/Mugen Grill, Factory Lip Spoiler, Rear Deck Wing and some nice rims and of course Dual Exhaust.

Sorry I wasnt too helpful.

Maybe I'll just get the Azect front lip. That shouldnt take away class. They dont make the Factory lip for 3.2's.

Has Value used a Guniea pig to see if it can be modified?

Ya you 3.2 guys have the cooler stock bumper. I like it better than our 2.5 bumpers.

FINALLY SOMEBODY IS THINKING LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! i brought up this topic a long time ago and was hella trippin about everybody saying, "im gunna get this kit and imma get that kit" but nobody wants to back it up.

96tl and unx79: i dont know exactly which kit each of you are purchasing but that shouldn't matter because we are sharing the shipping cost.

BODY KITS?

YO! YOUR CAR LOOKS GOOD ALREADY DON'T BE LIKE THEM CIVICS AND ACCORDS ALL OVER THE FREAKING PLACE WITH SOME AFTERMARKET ADD ONS.

IF I WERE YOU, I'D ONLY GET THE REAR LIP BUMPER SPOILER TO MATCH WITH THE FRONT BUMPER WHICH YOUR CAR ALREADY HAVE. ONE MORE THING YOUR FRONT BUMPER IS LOT BETTER LOOKING THAN OURS. I WAS EVEN THINKING OF BUYING BUMPER COVER TO PUT OVER MINE.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS, STAY PRETTY, CLASSIC AND ORIGINAL DON'T PUT TOO MUCH SH$T ON YOUR WHIP.

I wouldn't change the back, though I would get a different muffler tip. Unfortunately, that probably means a new muffler (which means a louder car), but you can add resonators to the tubing to quiet it down. I like the sound (it's really deep and powerful on a 3.2, not nasally like so many VWGolfs out there!). I don't have any pics of my tip on (I'll have my digital camera back next week), but here's a pic of the tip before it was installed (it's a ractive tip). I picked up a vibrant muffler for it, and had it installed in October. I've been lovin' it. Every time I see old pics of my car with the little dual tips, I cringe

BTW- the Value Spoiler looks tight.

Its hard for me to pick out something because I learned with the Value spoiler that those hooked up Honda Inspire's look ugly in pics. I hated that spoiler until I seen 962.5TL's pics when he got it. Its probably the same with all those bodykits. Those cars all have ugly wheels, eyelids, rain guards, etc. Stuff that I dont have. I bet the Azect lip looks 10x better in person.

dude just do what your gut instinct told you the first time. and even if that doesn't look good, sell it on ebay and set the reserve price the price of the piece and shipping from japan. i will guarentee you someone will bid on it, cause not everyone who has a 1st gen is on this board. hell you can make some money from your misfortunes, if you wanna call it that. haha

I dont know. I'm lost. They dont make any kits that really set me off. If they did I would have had one long ago. I like the Value kit a lot but its so damn expensive. $1635 for the whole kit plus $760 to ship! Thats $2395 plus I still have to get it painted! Thats over $3000. No way. I would rather leave my car the way it is and get Lowenharts. I dont think the Azect front lip will ruin the car at all though. I think I'm gonna order it once I get a shipping quote. Its noticable but not ricey.
