black leather?

do any 96-98 3.2's have black interior. Does anyone with black leather want this tan nonsence? I need to get rid of the car but that would be an awfully cool addition.

Hey guys,
The '96-'98 TL's never came with Black leather as an option. Only the Tan and Gray. The '99's-on got it though. And it does look very nice. I had a black Mercedes with black leather and it looked so classy.

As for VTEC, our cars do have it. But it isn't like the smaller 4 banger engines. VTEC actually stands for Variable Valve Timing Electronic control. This is usually emphasized in the DOHC 4 cylinder cars but not as emphasized in our SOHC 6 cylinder.

spots in leather

Does anyone know something good to use on worn spots in leather. My 3.2 tlz tan has a couple of eraser sized spots. My wife seems to think that those leather kits all leave a melted looking spot when you try to touch up the leather.

Any suggestions?

Use Lexol cleaner & conditioner to keep the leather soft. I don't think you can do anything for the wear (except not sitting in them).

wrong.

its single overhead cam.
Two heads

One cam on each head. Similar design to the d16z6/y8 sohc civic engine.

nsx is dohc or quad cam.

The noise you all hear is the secondary butterflies in the intake manifold. Its vaccum controled through the iab vac sol canister in the passanger front frame rail

If we have VTEC, where's the solenoid? Anyhow, what we have is a three-stage throttle body/manifold, no VTEC, and the 3.2 is SOHC. The only two DOHC V6s ever made by Honda are in the NSX.

~Cheers~

Honda calls it the IAB. Or Intake air bypass. It opens a secondary set of butterflies sandwitched between the upper and lower intake. This creates two powerbands. One for low torque from the long runner. and one for higher hp on short runner when the butterflies open. Taking them out gives you a little umph in the low end and you can ditch all that vac sol and garbage. It does not throw an engine light from removing it either.

two options
1)take the seats out and dye them yourself
2)take the seats out and have someone else dye them

dont mean to sound funny or nothing but thats just the facts because you cant get that color for our cars plain and simp. not unless you have a good auto upholstery guy in your area who'll do it but not quite sure if a seat color is worth all that hassle

maroon tl's came with blackish/gray interior dood.

Dying the interior sounds like a horrible idea.

a. have them reupholstered in black leather
b. buy black leather seats from something else and fabricate the rails
c. buy what im looking for.

I AM POSITIVE the car was made with dark gray or black interior. Ive already seen pictures on this website of someone with it. I will link when i locate it.

Thanks for the suggestions and imput but theres no way in hell im spraypainting dye on the seats, or dipping the leather in black dye. Just sounds like a bizarre mess.

damn colt its been forever since i have seen you on. i dont know too much about the seats, but i think that the leather on them is basically like a jacket so to speak. you might be able to "peel" off the tan leather, buy the charcoal leather, not the entire seat and rewrap the naked seats with the charcoal.
