Bike rack
So the gf wants us to get a bike so we can both "exercise" together. She thinks it'll be fun.. We both go to the gym (she goes to a seperate gym than I do) and both gyms have bikes, whats the diff??! What is more better than to ride your bike indoor with the A/C while watching ESPN? Anywho, lets say i was p-whooped, where would I find a bike rack? Anybody have one on their car? What is the difference btw the rack that goes on the roof and the one that hangs on the back of your trunk lid?

Someone just posted about a trailer hitch:

I would say get neither and just bike from your house. My sister and brother-in-law do that and it's suited them fine. I would kick their doors in if I saw them put a bike rack on their TL-S or their Accord.
~Cheers~
P.S. I miss biking outdoors but every bike I've ever owned has disappeared somehow so I'm not planning on buying a new one.

umm the bike racks that hang on the back of the car or trunk lid look like crap and dont work too well. Ones attached to roof where the front wheel is removed and attached work wonderfully. My brother has a Yakima rack that has held up over time (it serves for both skis and bicycles tho). His jeep cherokee got stolen in Seattle then recovered 31 days later and the yakima rack was the only thing he kept or recovered that was not beaten to crap. The reason being because it was locked and without the key it was very difficult to remove.
Btw this was one day after insurance paid him the value of the car. I would agree with Go90Go about just biking out your door. That is what i do, but Yakima is a little spendy but makes quality products. A company i would recommend for road bikes is Bianchi.... Italian and have been around for ages; high quality.
Cycling is most fun outdoors to me! GL, and dont worry shes just training u like all women do hahahaha.

Bike Rack
I use one often on my 06' TL WDP. I do a few things to make sure it wont mess up the car though. First I use bungee cords to ensure the pedals don't move and then I also use them to keep the front wheels straight. I also clean the trunk very well before I mount it. I have not seen any rub marks after using it for a full year.
Here's a link to the rack, http://www.saris.com/p-300-bones-2-bike.aspx I would add a pic but im in Korea right now.
Good luck,
John
