Auto Transmission Control Unit Location?

I have an AT control unit in the trunk when I bought this car, but I never try it working or not.
Last winter the rpm needle was going crazy, and the car kicked when shift from 1st gear to the 2nd... then it was fine after I put in a new air intake. Today, it happened again.
So I think I would try to put the AT control unit on let see what happen, but I dont know where its at. Anyone here have any suggestion or tip? Thanks

What the hell are you talking about? That does not make any sense.

It makes perfect sense... However the tranny computer is not your problem. Check your fast idle valve for sludge, and liberally spray carb cleaner on all the surfaces inside the valve. That should help the erratic idle.

~Cheers~

If your check engine light and D4 are flashing, the problem is likely a defective VSS (vehicle speed sensor). I had same symptoms as you describe when my 2.5TL VSS failed.

I agree the TCU is probably OK.

good luck

Bulb is available at Acura parts, or you can swap a bulb from lightly used location to D4, for instance swapping D1 bulb to D4.

good luck
