btw it still says d.o.t. appoved on the lens so that could be you defense
also it is a cheaper alternative to ispires which are up around 500 bucks

You shouldn't get stopped because the brake light is still colored red. The part where the bulb shows are the hazard lights...correct?

Hmmm, I wonder if its possible to cut flourescent light covers (like the ones offices have) and put them over that open area so they look like Inspire lights. I remember a website that says how to do it for a Honda Prelude.

Where is that on Kings Highway? Wanna experiment with my tailights like I said? I think its possible as long as the light cover is very flexible and thin. I'm serious about doing this. I've been thinking about it for a long time but I cant the website that tells you how. Any news on the fogs?

Is it just the photo or is there a white portion in the brake light (red) area? Its visible in the first and third pic.

SIDE NOTE: for the bottom area, if you think it looks naked you could always apply those ion or colored tint film to make it a little more opaque.

Every state is different but in MA this would definitely be illegal. Even if you never put on the directionals or back-up lights on, simply displaying a blue lens/bulb can get you a $300 ticket.

Question

I looked at my lights yesterday and the left bulb is indeed the hazards and the right bulb is the back up light, which is clear anyway. So if you put a yellow bulb for the hazards there shouldn't be problem because your brake lights are still D.O.T. red......please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think I would want the little square in the brake light cleared because it would shine white when I hit the brakes (as if I backing up).

I understand that part. Just letting you know that here in MA you can't even *display* a blue bulb (on or off) without violating the law. It was changed many years ago because some people were buying those Kojak lights for their dash and even though they never turned it on they were still fooling people into thinking they were cops. So they changed the law to include displaying of a blue light or lens. I'm not saying you would get stopped, and I'm not saying you would get fined. Just letting everyone from MA know that if they go for this look they risk a $300 fine if a cop wants to get techincal.

That pretty much says that there will be no instructions. I don't blame him though. Gotta make a living you know...
