Amp to Fusebox Connection

Hey guys,

I've finally made my sub-woofer box, I have my amp ..now its a matter of time to do the dirty work and actually hook it up on my 97 TL.

Can anyone help me with the actual power SWTICH connection to the fusebox? I know there is a diagram on the door cover of the fusebox, but seems its harder than it looks. We're dealing with cramped space and hidden wires. So any help will be appreciated ..pics or just a detailed procedure.

Thanks to all my TL brothers!!

Are you using the factory radio? If you are I would just tap into that. You'll definitely need a helm manual for this one.

actually u don't need all that... if u still have the stock radio and want a switch for ur amp u can just tap into the radio fuse and the amp will turn on and off with the radio... that is the way i do it.... if you don't know how to tap fuses just post and i will give more detailed instructions... if u have an aftermarket radio the REM wire is with the radio... good luck...

I'd be interested in the fuse tapping. I've got an amp and a free-air pioneer sub which I'm building a baffle for sometime in May.

so i guess that means u don't know how to fuse tap... lolz.... first thing u need is a volt meter... after u take out the fuse u want to tap... find which side of the fuse the current is live... meaning which side sents ur meter jumping like crazy... then what u wanna do is wrap the wire around a side of the fuse and make sure u plug it into the "dead" side... after u plug it in u r set...if this is confusing i will post more detailed instructions

Hey this is great help ...FOr some reason I didn't get an email notifcation ..I thought this thread was dead.

But no one has yet figured this out on any TL board. Can you get as specific as possible...I want to get as much info as I can before the installation some time this week. THanks again!!
