Almost Jumped to 2nd Gen
Yesterday while shopping around for a new car for the wife. Didn't have the cam, so no pics.
2003 White Pearl Metallic TL with 71,000 on it. Salesman said $20K would drive it home. Two things turned me off, tho. It had gold badging all around, which is :ghey: The second was that the engine seemed to run rough. The salesman said that the previous owner had just graduated from college, and I said "Later, dude."
I also notice what folks on the forum were saying about blind spots.
I'll keep my first gen.

when the 2nd gens first came out it really turned me on... i love the way it looks with an OEM kit, type S rims and lowered... thats all it needs IMHO... but i couldn't get over the constant tranny issues that it had... maybe u will get lucky and find a cleaner one for the wifee... or give her ur 1st gen and get a 3rd gen???

I really love my 97, and I said in another thread that my challenge with this car is 500K. Gonna throw a new paint job, some tint, need a new drivers door interior panel and she'll look like new. Will keep it stock/original since I think these are real keepers/maybe a wannabe classic.
