air suspensions

Hi folks.
I was browsing around for a new suspension for my car.
i am currently using the ground control with Tokico Illumina struts.
Its about 1 year old. I'm replacing it because I dont like the ride quality.
At first I looked into Tein products. But that motherf**ker is expensive.
There was one Tein kit I was interesting in and it cost $1500.
Then I saw the Air Lift website. They make air suspension for the 1990-97 Honda Accord thus its compatible with the 2.5 TL also for around the same price.
Air suspensions can lift the car up/down with a flick of a switch.
What do you guys think about air suspensions over coilovers, lowering springs, interms of performance, reliability and comfort?

I have no insight to aftermarket air suspension. But the Air suspensions on the VW Touareg and the Audi A8 that i've had the opportunity bond with are really nice. While the A8 does have the inherent awd advantage, it didnt have the "isolation from the road" feel that you get in other cars. You could feel what the road was telling you but not in a way that was uncomfortable at all. I'm not sure if aftermarket air suspensions work as well as those designed with the car, but if they are, I'd definitely give two thumbs up to them.

if you're sure the accord application fits, go ahead. Air ride is expensive and the cheapest kit ive seen is 800 (f,b,ss). My friend paid around 5 grand for his TL and was shipped from japan. He said the ride is like stock...no better, no less.

Air suspension is prolly the best way to go man. Like you said, you get the ride height that you want at the touch of a button. The ride on Air suspension is jus like running on really good drop srpings.
