Air Intake Assistance
Since I have a hole in my stock intake tube I was thinking of getting a short ram intake, except instead of spending over $200 for a Weapon-R I planned on getting a cheap non-custom one that will fit properly. However, with a lack of car intelligence, I was wondering what the hard thin tube running from the beginning of the intake to the engine, right next to the spark plugs, was. Will a cheap intake just disregard whatever this is or will there be a port for it?

Alot of places list our car's year range as '95-'98 because it WAS first offered in Japan as a model year '95. Personally, mine was made July of 95, in the first batch of cars. I found a handwritten date (two actually), hidden in the dashboard.

secret weapon?
jesus..
the shit they come up with now adays.
just go to autozone and buy a 30 dollar aluminum 3 inch tube.. Cut it to fit. The hoses for the intake do nothing. They are ventilation for the pcv system but its already adequately ventelated. Extend the hose down under visibility and atmospheric.. By the time the environment is hurt from it we will alread be having dirt nap time anyhow..
No intake for these cars makes any significant gains besides making riceboy noises..
Ive tested the stock one vs the aem cold air custom jobbie i have even insulated with heat wrap and a velocity stack filter on it.. Made like 2 more whp with my 11:1 compression modified motor.. Stock one gets you like 4 more ftlbs of torque..just takes up room.. Those sewer pipes look like a clown car under the hood too.. I like the subtle look of the stock airbox or those arc ice boxes under the hood as opposed to some chris kringle blue pipe with giant WEAPON R SECRET WEAPON stickers on it...
Someone really needs to get on coming up with some better names.. Ground control, and weapon r make alright stuff, but perhaps are the two most homosexual company names on the globe..
