Aftermarket Radio (AM Reception) 96 TL 2.5
I have purchased and Alpine CDM 9803 Aftermarket radio/CD player after my stock CD player went. My AM reception has been horrible and I have brought the stereo back a few times. Has anyone had this problem with an aftermarket stereo. My reception was great on the stock stereo. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On the back of your new Aftermarket HU, did they plug in the antena correctly, or even all the way in??? did they have to use an adapter to plug the stock antena to the HU... My blaupunk needed an adapter and i had bad FM/AM reception... i just found out that it wasn't pluged all the way in... So i took it out gave it a couple pushes and there it was... AM still gets a bit cheap reception... but what do i need it for... FM is fine... Unless i want to hear a game or some road news... no need for the AM...
On a side note: AM has always had cheap reception...
