Acura replacement radio and random steering question

Just wondering if any other Acura radios (newer of course) will fit into the first gen space? I like the stock look but desire more functionality. My current unit works fine as well, but I thought I'd ask.

Onto other topics, does anyone have steering issues with your first gen? I mean it's no sports car, but the steering is numb as hell!

I am pretty nutty about the maintenance schedule of my ride and do all work myself. I did consider the fluid at one point, but then thought that such ease in movement would indicate good hydraulic pressure. I am stumped. How does your steering feel?
Does it actually have a consistency to it? I know the first gen is the first gen, but from my wife's Subaro to a BMW, there is a feeling that the wheel is sturdy. Simple inflections in the road can easily move my steering wheel...

I talked to my dealer about just that.
They said that is how the steering is. It is suppose to get tighter at high speeds.
I wish that it was tighter going at low speeds but, they said there was nothing they could do.

Maybe its because it was that direction correction thing going on. I dont know. It does kind of sucks that you cant take your eyes off the road for way to long.

the 6 cd changer in dash from a 2002 hond a accord fits our cars perfectly
we have to buy a couple of harness to make it work
I did it on my car and I like it, and the sound is a little better that the one it comes with the car
but if you want better quality sound better buy an aftermarket one
I replace the honda cd changer for the kenwood excelon mp3 and wma wich sounds way better and I have more options but then you do lose the factory look

No offense, but I think the stock TL head unit is better looking than the 2k2 Accord. Maybe I'll have to just stick with what I have.

I've got a 96 3.2 premium and my cd player won't play any of my burned cds. Do I have to worry about any anti theft system if a replace the head with an aftermarket? Is it easier to just add a changer to the stock head? Should I have a stereo place install it, or is it easy enough to do myself? (I've replaced the stock head twice in my 92 integra). thanks

You won't have any anti-theft problems if you replace your headunit. And, it is very easy to do the install yourself, especially if you've done it before...

Hey Morpheus,
Was the installation hard on that one? Also, what wiring harnesses did you have to get to hook the new head unit up? I've been wanting to do that swap on my '98 3.2TL for years now! Thanks!

no it wasn't hard at all
if you're talking about the honda 6 c d changer
we need two wire harness easy to find
if you're talking about the aftermarket one
you need one wire harness and the kit to install the radio
with both car stereos you loose the tweeters that are close to the moonroof
I replace the factory speakers with infinity kappa component system
and it comes with tweeters and crossovers and it sounds really good so even if you're able to connect the tweeters next to the sunroof you couldn't hear them anyways cause the aftermarket tweeters are very loud
