as a matter of fact, that is a good question. usually cars with the engine facing sideways are rear wheel drive. for example nissans, lexus, s2000, etc.. our cars are an exception though, dont know why! wish it was rwd!!!!

The reason for the side ways motor is IT's A TRANSVERSE MOUNT ENGINE W/ EQUAL SIDE DRIVESHAFTS.. meaning that the power is supposed to go equally to both wheels.
