98 Acura TL 2.5 leaky tail light tips
I bought this car for my son in Sept. I didn't realize I was going to have to dust off my shade tree mechanic skills to keep the thing running. Anyhow, here is what I did to keep water out of the trunk.
I took off the tail lights and noticed that the tail light "gasket" foam was cracked and hard. Instead of buying new ones, I scrubbed off the dirt and muck from the foam gasket and the body of the car. I used clear bathroom caulk and coated the foam gasket on both sides with it. I reinstalled the tail lights and voila, no more puddles of water in the trunk.
