The heat on my passenger side-view mirror works, but the driver side dosen't. Is this caused by a bad fuse, switch or wire? Has anyone else had this same problem? What did you do?

 

somebody has the same problem too i guest he toke it apart and replace the heat itself

 

I'm assuming that heating element is a "dealer only" part?

 

If you're lucky to find a mirror on eBay, you might be even luckier to find one that's heated, haha.

no dealer part..get a used mirror from ebay and take it apart and replace it with yoour mirror , i believe dealer doesnt sell them as parts they sell it as whole.

 

It's possible you could have a wiring fault or poor ground on the driver's side, but more likely the heating trace is open. You'll have to remove the door panel to check. That's a good buy on ebay. If you can't live w/o the mirror heater, better grab it.
