96 3.2L performance
96 3.2L performance
can someone point me in the right direction for info on modding a 96 3.2L TL? I've heard its the same block as the NSX, will some of their go fast goodies swap over? also anyone know what kind of power this thing should have stock?
Stock wise, the numbers are 200 hp and 210 lb/ft of torque. Maximum horsepower is at 5,300 RPM and max torque is at 4,500 RPM.
I don't have anything official to tell you, but I am fairly certain you cannot bring anything over from an NSX. Both engines are C series but the NSX is DOHC, not to mention VTEC equipped. It has a longer stroke and higher compression.
We share the same engine as 2nd generation Legends but with better head gaskets. There was a GS series Legend that had the Type II C32A engine. It had variable intake and made 230 hp. The torque went down to 206, but max horsepower was raised to 6,200, giving the car much better top end.
A nice mod would be dropping in a Type II engine and the accompanying 6 speed manual transmission. Those Legend GS's get 0-60 in the mid 6 seconds range.
