I was aware that the spring needed replacing and I drove it anyway short
distances and avoided any/all bumps.<~~~Stupid on my part.

Well last night while driving home @ about 30 MPH, I felt something give way a
bit and it felt like my wheel rubbed against the fender and my car came to a
screeching stop...BUT I still had a mile to go so I continued to drive it to my
house. I stayed at about 5-10 MPH and there WAS a rubbing noise which sounded
like the spring hitting the driveshaft.

Today when I went to engage the transmission into REVERSE or DRIVE a LOUD
grinding noise came from what sounded like the differential and continued until
I put it in Neutral.

I need to replace the Driver side outer tie rod, Driver Spring/strut, upper
control arm.

Worst case scenario - I screwed up my transmission.

Other scenarios IMO, possibly the driveshaft got messed up from the collapse of
the driver side suspension and is no longer engaged in the differential but Im
not sure.
