I'm in the process of ordering a turbo from turbonetics and I need to know the displacement of the 3.2 V6 TL

oh if you guys know the weight, please let me know. also i need the compression ratio of the engine. one more thing, the max. rpm. thanks.

 

Compression ratio: 9.8(TL), 10.5(Type-S)
Redline: 6500(TL), 6900 (Type-S)
Weight: 3492 lbs(TL), 3558 lbs (Type-S)

I didn't know anyone made a turbo for the TL...

 

they don't i'm custom making mine, new project with my buddy. are these specs the same for the 1st gen 3.2, because i need it for that.

 

Got me there. Those specs from the 2002 brochure.

Anyone else got 1st generation specs???

Ahhh, why dont you just look where it redlines at?

 

uh, because that still doesen't tell me the displacement, compression ratio, and weight. i also want an exact redline figure. turbocharging isn't as easy as bolting on an intake you know.

 

check the comptech web site....last i know of they were in the testing phases of a turbo application for certain models of the TL..........aloha....

 

so i take it no one knows the compression ratio of the C32A V6 3.2 TL(1st Gen). if anyone knows the displacement, compression ratio, max rpm, and weight of vehicle holla! please!

 

i think for the first gen 2.5 the comp ratio is 9.5:1....

It's kind of weird when people custom makes the turbo don't know the specification of an engine.

yeah... i thought about a turbo set up for my 3.2 Tl also. I drew wat i had in mind and all people did was laugh at me. =\

Compression:
1 st Gen - 9.6 : 1
2 nd Gen non type s - 9.8 : 1
2nd gen type s - 10.5 : 1

This was my idea for a top mounted intercooler with custom hood skoop. I cant find the one i made for a fron mounted.
