ok......two quick questions...see what y'all think.
1. stall converter? i'm not sure how these trannies work down to a tee. but, i noticed something psuedo odd recently, so here tis. when driving on a highway/interstate where the speed is pretty high, i notice that after a few miles of driving, my rpms drop. before drop, when going 75, the rpm is approx. 3300. after it drops (and since new exhaust, i can hear the different tone, so maybe it's not that new, but just now noticable), going 75, rpms drop to about 3100 or just over the 3k mark. so does anyone know what that's about? i don't notice it in the city, etc. since i'm not at a constant rate of speed and what not.
2. tire wobble when i accelerate harder, such as when i am gettin on the interstate via the onramp, the steering wheel shakes. i'd say quite a bit, but that's all relative. the thing is that it doesn't seem to happen in city driving if i get on it good. just moreso on the interstate entrances and stuff. there is a slight possibility it could be the road, but it does it more often than not. i'm not sure if i threw a weight and they are out of balance or what. but the steering wheel does shimmy a tad when driving hwy speeds. also, when i stop, the wheel shakes a bit. i know it's not my rotors, i've replaced them all along with the pads. any ideas? thanks all!!

1) Since you freed up the flow of the exhaust the engine is allowed to breathe a little better which explains the lower RPM's at higher speeds. You probably notice it more now because you can now hear it.
2)How hard do you get on the gas when you are on those onramps?? possible wheel hop due to crappy road conditions and aggressive driving. Check your lugnuts lately? How are your axles/CV boots?? those are the only things that i can think of right now. maybe later on in the day i might think of some other possible reason.

1)
The torque converter locks up in 4th gear when your throttle is steady, expect your RPM's to drop about 100 or 200. This improves fuel economy. The converter will unlock as soon as you push down on the gas a bit.
2)
Definitely need an alignment!

1) Yes, as Ken said TCL (Torque Converter Lock-up)
2) Could be either a motor mount as stated or a tranny issue, or even a misfire can cause that kind of shake. See if you can get the ECU scanned and see if it shows a random misfire code.

i got my misfire fixed (was a 3 day thing). so i finally got my car back. so now after that 'hick-up', i can get back to tryin to get my possibly warped rotor replaced. *sigh*, back to the grind lol
turns out that the car now drops rpms right away. this is after i got the EGR cleaned out, the exhaust manifold replaced, and put in some of that seafoam stuff. not sure if that all helped...but something did the trick.
and i asked on my other post.....but maybe my tire issue is due to the pads. there is that odd wearing on the one side. could be bad pads? unsure at this point.
