I have a '96 2.5 TL. Everything stock. I've been looking for shocks for awhile. Ended up getting shocks at the Acura dealer. Installed the shocks. But now, the car rides really stiff. I can feel almost every bump in the road. Didn't notice any suspension wear on any other componet. The car has 115,000 miles on it. Any ideas?

 

Did they replace the damper springs or just the dampers?

If you paid dealer prices I would certainly start by calling the Service Manager and discussing your concerns with him. Then you could post his reply here in the forum and the folks here that know what's what can confirm or refute the dealers comments.

 

I did the labor and just the dampers were replaced.

 

Something is definitely wrong as this car does not ride that rough even w/ eighteens on.
