2.5L Exhaust Manifold Removal Help!

I think the exhaust manifold gasket on my car is bad. After seafoaming the car the other day, i got some nice white smoke coming out of that area and upon looking closely im pretty sure that is what the problem is.

How hard is the removal of the exhaust manifold? Anyone know?

(im at work right now and dont have access to the manual nor can I download it here.)

Thanks in advance,

LBS

It's a pretty good job and not described in the 2.5 Acura shop manual. I do know that battery box must removed and O2 sensor removed. Probably exhaust pipe from the flange below the warmup catalytic converter can remain in place, but underside access is probably necessary to break that flange. Access looks tight.

I had this done under the 150K? warranty on Acura emission systems. The exhaust manifolds are prone to crack. Mine had an exhaust noise when cold that disappeared as engine warmed. Perhaps yours is included in this warranty. Worth a check. Do some searches on this site for more details.

good luck

I had a local shop replaced my exhuast manifold. They had to remove the 02 sensor, but not the battery.
All the work was done from underneath.

Did you go aftermarket, OEM, or repair of manifold?

regards
