sorry if this sounds idiotic but iI was floating the idea of painting my exhaust manifold a gloss black for a meaner and cleaner look. i.e any other parts of engine i could paint id do that as well.... what do u guys think or ?

 

ummm exhuast manifold gets extremely hot. If you paint it eventually it'll wear off.

How about those high temp paints?? I've heard they're pretty effective.

 

I'm sure you CAN do it, but I wouldnt recommend it. Heat will cause it to fade at best, cause problems/stink up your car at worse.

 

how would painting your manifold black make it more aggressive?? Maybe cleaner for a month or so before it starts to wear out. If you really wanna spend the money you should see if you can get it powdercoated or cerma-coated

 

I wouldn't paint it. If anything ceramic coat or just get header wrap. Looks cool.
