18-19 inch wheel width and agressive offsets...

Is anyone in here running any larger than a 9.5 inch wide wheel on their gen 1 tl?

If so what offset did you use..

Also even if you have 17s what is everyone using for offsets as far as agressive ones..

anyone using any more than 40.

Ive got the rear bumper cut, the lip cut out of the fender, and the rear bumper tab cut off the fender already.

im wanting to do 19x10 or 19x9.5 rears. but have no ambition of dropping 2g's if it wont work.

I got a 18x9 in the rear with a 36 offset, the outter rim is proably 1-2mm away from being straight flushed with the body, and the inner rim is about a fingers width away from hitting the spindle. From what I see on my car you can possibly do a 10" wide in the rear with maybe a 30-34mm offset, slightly pulled fenders, and some camber.

I run 8" wide in the front w/36mm offset and it seems like enough room to do a 9" I 'll try fitting my rears on the front to make sure whenever i got time.

your also going do need to stretch your tires to make the clearance.

If you pull it off, post pics and specs. I been waiting to see a 1st gen with vip styling...its what i'm trying to do to mine, just takes time and money.

I want to pull off a stance like this LS

So I was thinking of adding spacers. Next set of rims I plan on going more aggresive...I just aint got the money for it right now.

yes to have that stance you will need spacers and have your fenders pulled. Either those 2 options or do a custom fender flare. That has to be air suspension by the way.

i had a 40+ offset and don't rub. I'm sure i can pull a 30'something offset and get away with it, of course without fatasses in the back seat.

Thanks a million .

Pulling fenders? What does this entail?

I painted my entire car 3 times so far, and am an experianced tig welder so what method is used ? Are we talking massaging the rear fenders and totally reshaping them? Or are we talking more agressively rolling them?

What do you think about a 36 offset 19x10 or 19x9.5 low dish work? Supposedly the low dish "gives it about 8mm more of lip" This is confusing me as far as what to run..

But as far as being vip.. yea thats what im going for.. work vsxx wheel is what im using.. I planned on running a 225 35 19 in front and i have no idea for the rears right now.. if i do 10 inches wide its gonna get wild...

Any ideas on air ride for it if i dont do air runners?

Does anyone make a bag setup for a 96 accord , and a 92-5 legend ? Id assume i could run the legend suspension forks and use legend air bags for the front and accord airbags for the rear.. This way i could fuckin dump it when im parked and jack it up when i drive..

Ill def post pictures when im done.. Just seeing that ls you posted makes me really anxious.. If i pull off using a 10 inch wide wheel with a offset like that id bet it will have some rediculous lip and stick out insane. weeee. so help me out and lets hear some more offsets what people are running,

what bodystyle? sure. As long as we are talking like dope ones. Without acura ornaments on the rear c pillar and gullwing doors.

haha..

As far as i knew j spec tl has the only gen 1 on here with the inspired kit and 19x9.5s right? If im wrong im sorry.

But sure lets see it..

You all are some evening heads tho. I am on here at work and its dead. i get home and make one post and its responded to within 5 minutes.. guess ill have to do it at night ..

anyhow, my rear quarter is already fucked on the drivers side from some cunt switching lanes into me a while back. I suppose i could just do some work to the fender perhaps...

I know for sure there is a company in japan that makes air ride specifically for our cars - "SKIPPER". Also look into "Universal Air" "Air Runner" and "Canover"

Here are some pictures I have gathered:

I don't have the Inspire kit on my car but I do have the Value Sports kit on my car. Speaking of which, i just received a part from japan 3 days ago - holla!
