17" Rims but what size Tires

ok, i've been debating back and forth between 16" rims and 17" rims . I want the 17s but i don't want to loose the comfort and smoothness of the ride. So i thought maybe a compromise. Is it possible to do a 215/50/17 or a 225/50/17 ?!?!?? Or do i have to stick with the 16s ?

I think 215/50/17 will be a good size for 17's.

are you plan on lowering your car at all??/ ... that is i pretty thick tire... i have 225/45/17 and they look really thick... not a harsh ride at all its up to you but i think a 50 series tire is pretty thick almost too thick

215/50/17 is a thick tire , if you dont plan on lowering it , it will not rub, if you want thiner tires you can go with 215/45/17-I think this size is also pretty good.( the higher the profile, the better the ride)

215/45/17 will keep your speedometer readings true...any bigger and your MPH will be off as you go faster
