1 cylinder out of commision on my 2.5 lol

ok, so after my "late shifting?" post i took my 2.5 to the shop and told my buddy the mechanic about the car and asked for him to change tranny and diff fluid as well as checking out my exhaust which was annoying me...

so he tells me to take him a for a ride, i do and show him all the shit i'm feeling while driving.

funny thing is when we went back to the shop after he concurred with me about the fluids he ran a diagnostics on the engine and told me one of my 5 cylinders was out of comission (spark plug) and i laughed and asked how.

he asked me if the car had ever overheated and i recalled a time before i was in posession of the car and i was with my parents in the car and it had overheated, we just got it running again with some coolant and kept on going, now 5 years of driving on a ghetto 4 banger someone finally realizes that one of my sparkies had been knocked out from the incident...

so basically he got the thing working again, and i'm back on all 5 bangers.

over the weekend i'm going back to get the fluids changed and gunna try and find an aftermarket performance exhaust.

if anyone can recommend a good exhaust that sounds decent but not too loud and will give me some good airflow please do so

THAT is hilarious! I am glad that you are back to full power, though. I would like to know about an exhaust system too, all that I have found during my searches has been exhaust tips to fit our cars.

Did you not have a Check Engine Light for missing on the defective cylinder at any time?

You should have had a code from P0301- P0305 for misfire, where last digit indicates missing cylinder. Perhaps you ignored the CEL? If not, you may have a defective or removed CEL light bulb in the instrument panel.

good luck

it came on once when i put in shitty gas (i normally use 93 octane)

but that's it, i donno if the light would come on for just a busted spark plug. but i'm no mechanic

A four-banger 2.5 (now 1.9) would be the slowest acura ever. hahaha
