Windshield washer repair

My windshield washer sprayer is totally gummed up and the dealer said they can not clean it (they can not find a needle small enough). They also can not replace it because my color part is no longer produced.

I was thinking to soak it in CLR, but I don't really want to do that with it on the car so I don't mess up the paint. Can I just pry it off or is it more complicated? Any experience repairing these otherwise?

Have you eliminated the hose that runs to the two hood nozzels as the problem? Does the washer tank pump work? If you take the hood liner off you should see that the nozzels should have two tabs that you should be able to squeeze together and push the nozzels out. Then you can soak them and try to clean them that way.

Interesting the dealer is saying they cannot fix it. I have had my washers clogged a couple times and I've had two different dealers able to fix them...

You have another dealer in town you could take it to for a second opinion?

Thanks 2000RL, my nozles were not covered by the insulation, they were up in the hood where I could not really pinch. When I went in to find the a tool I decided to just try compressed air. That worked great and all is fixed now.
