So recently i have been having this rather weird and intermittent problem, and this problem as been popping up more and more recently...

When im driving, usually at freeway speeds and i tap or press the brakes, the interior lights and dash lights and the radio cut out for a split second.

also if i am at a stop light, i have turned on everything, lights, stereo, subwoofer, amplifier, seat heaters, mirror heaters, and then pulled up all the switches for the windows (with the windows closed) and then my battery warning light will come on...

now i have had the battery and the alternator tested recently, but at the time the symptoms were not apparent that very moment...

So my question is, Is my alternator slowly dying, or is it something else, and if its something else, What is it?

 

It does sound like an alternator.

 

yea i did the poor mans alternator test and disconnected the neg batt terminal, i noticed a nice little ring of corrosion around it and im thinking that might have affected everything... but i will keep checking to see if the problem comes up again...

 

I was having similar (but less severe problems) until I had my belts tightened.
