Hey y'all. Got lucky and stumbled on a pic of another 04's manufacturer sticker. It was made in March of 03' like mine. Furthermore the serial number indicates that it was made within 27 days of mine. Attached is the pic. Asking a favor of people with American 04's in this forum. Can y'all with the last 4 digits of the V.I.N. between 1680-1900 check the date code of your 04? The numbers circled in blue is the serial number (mine is 1174 pic is 1662, looking for members with numbers between 1680-1900). Lastly, I want to see the manufacture date. It is circled in red in the image and will be found in the same place for all 04s. I'm trying to find the serials of the first of the April 04's. Once I have those last 4, I will use it to calculate my car's approximate birthday. From what I could find about the 04's production numbers, Acura made an average of 18 04's a day.

Nice. Probably one of the first Champagne 04's. Was it manufactured in January? Can't seem to find it, but there was a thread on a forum with an Acura salesman talking about the build date for the at the time new 04's. From what I remember, it was dated January 13th, 2003, but I can't find it.

 

I'll have to get it out and check that build date. I need to drive it anyway, it's been sitting for several weeks. Hassle to get it now, my sons broken down E320 is parked behind it!

 

 

Ahh, its a Canadian model. That is why its so early.
