Transmission Mounts?
Transmission Mounts?
Hey guys
I have a ruff shift from first to second more from second to first. I remember there was someone else who had said on this or perhaps another forum that the symptoms a bad tranny mount is a bad shift from first to second. I checked the transmission fluid its stil pretty pink and relatively full. So i was wondering if a transmission mount can be responsible for a bad shift. If so how can i check them to see if there is any damage? O yeah by the way i have a 2004 RL 39k miles front end collision whihc replaced the rad support the rad front bumper hood and both lower control arms. Rest of the cars mint go it chekced by an acura dealership before i bought it. The car was within spec body wise.
Thanks

Yes, the rear transmission mount going out would do this. And its common on Legends, 1st gen TL's and 1st gen RL's. It simply wears out and the motor/tranny movie noticeably when on the 1st to 2nd gear shift.
