Transmission Fluid

Being new to Acura, I have another question. The transmission fluid dipstick has a rectangular ending to it, unlike the regular dipstick shape, which is a little confusing to me. My dipstick had little or no pink fluid on it at all, is that normal, or is it something to be concerned about? The manual said something about the fluid level being within that little bar shaped groove, but there was hardly anything on it at all. Any suggestions?

The dipstick should have some fluid on it between the markers. May not look pink due to how little would be on the stick. Are you having any shifting problems? I suppose you can always flush it out and refill to be safe.

nope, no shifting problems so far. Is it a bad thing that there is little fluid (if any) in between the little box?

It may not if the stick is showing fluid in the marked area. All I meant was that the fluid may have run down the stick as you pulled it out. I wouldn't expect it to be soaking and dripping but there SHOULD be fluid there. If there is no fluid, you should refill it or like i said, flush and fill.
