TL Wheels

I see a lot of users with TL Wheels, what TL generation wheels can I use? Are they simple swaps?

Let's learn, Jaydub.

the stock lug nut pattern of your 2002 RL is 5x114.3
2nd and 3rd gen TL's lug nut patters are 5x114.3

you can use any wheel that uses the lug nut pattern 5x114.3.
however; you will need new tires, or tires that match the RL's specs.

if you input the RL's stock tires and compare them to a few here:
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

you will be able to hopefully catch on and size the tires yourself

The Legend guys who put TL wheels on had to have the center bore enlarged to fit over the Legend hub. Even though they have the same bolt pattern. don't know if this is the case with RLs.

I have the 3.2 tl wheels for my summer rims (they are the seven split spoke enkeis) they fit without issue on my 02 BUT there is not a hell of alot of room between the brakes and the rim plus they had to put weights when balancing the tires so its close but i didnt have any issues. One thing to note is that the offset for the RL rims is +55 i think it was and the offset for the tl wheels is +45 i believe so i think if you go with a rim with smaller offset than 45 you are going to run into a problem
