Tablet as a head unit
Hey guys my friend has an 04 TL. He has aan Android tablet as his head unit it looks so crazy. I wiil post a pic weekend. Im looking into getting him to help me install one in my 2000 RL. Good or bad idea?
Hey thats me ^^^
magikhype do you have a nav or non nav model? I've put a Nexus 7 (2012) in place of my stock nav unit. It was not easy and everything was custom to make. If you don't mind having a large project that will run into issues I'd say go for it. But on the other hand if you want a plug and play device stick with an aftermarket radio.

well with the tablet you can also get stuff like torque (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.torque&hl=en)
I also remember someone got got a special back up camera and some cables that would hook up to the nexus. I think that was like $100

I think you'll like that better in the long run. That's what I did in my 97. Although I had to cut out the radio piece to fit the double din. But it fits well and looks nice!
