Still getting codes

Ok, so I've taken the egr pipe off and cleaned it, replaced the agr valve and I'm still getting an P0501 code

Any ideas?

The P0501 is the speed sensor, it has nothing to do with the EGR.

Car has a ghost bug. That code came up but the odo was still working. The vss is brand new so I'm puzzled!
