I'm aware of OLD_HATCH's very nice DIY, but where do you get the part? Do I have to buy a similarly aged plastic gear from a wreck or a $2k new one from Acura? I searched and nobody has an Acura steering column near me (mid-atlantic) so I'd have to pay shipping for a 20 lbs part to get a 2 oz part.

 

noone sells the part. its complete rack or nothing.

If we could get a group buy going maybe we could get someone to fabricate with a known good gear someon would have to donate.

I dont know who would make em personally since theyre like derlin pressed on to a steel shaft.
