squeaking

Has anyone experience a squeaking sound from the area around the steering column? I have a 97 rl and it only occurs when the steering wheel is moved to the left, whether it is moved slightly or sharply.

When was the last time you changed the power steering fluid? Check the fluid level and color. Are you sure the sound is coming from the steering column, it might be suspension. I think you should change the fluid and see that help or not.

Thanks 3.5RL. I recently flushed and changed the fluid. Definitely coming from column. I was told that the clockspring may be worn.
