Rotors

I have a 2002 rl, i i'm modding it up for the summer. Its being painted matte black, I picked out some 18" black deep dish dolce rims. And i wanted some big ass rotors to still behind my rims. thats where i'm stuck.....i need some input on the rotors. Whats the best material, make, size??? i want it to compliment the chrome trim of the rims

Can the 05 rl front brakes be swapped on the 04 rl?
That's what I was thinking about.

what parts have you collected?

its a little involved and in the end a wildwood kit would be cheaper.

Definitely not an OEM side skirt. Nor is the front lip.

Parts for these cars aren't just laying around in the junk yards... majority of the projects you want to do for these cars are custom / pricy.

Most of the front lips are either custom made or rare finds in Japan and run roughly $800 for the part with shipping... sometimes. Side skirts are hard to find as well and expensive too or... again custom made.

when you buy a "flag ship" car, parts are cheap and parts / aftermarket parts aren't always abundant.

I'm sure you guys have picked up that (1) used replacement headlight still go for $450 in some places.

I'm doing 18" black Dolce deep dish rims, with chrome accents/trim. I want 15"-17" rotors (possibly cross drilled) with red caliper covers.

3.5RLv-tech- what size is yours in that pic?

and i like your ride OLD_HATCH

Thank you bud.

As far as rotor size I dont hink you would be able o fit such a large rotor under a 18" rim. You can go all out custom but then your talking about somewhere in the 2500 front and 2500 rear price range.

^^^ Exactly.

If you are wanting a cheap car to modify and has a huge aftermarket following... should have gone with a Civic or something.

theres a lot of fabrication involved in getting brackets to fit the calipers correctly to the 1st gen rl hub as well as modifying the rotors.

What have you planned out so far?
