Please Help!!
I just yesterday got m 1996 RL 3.5l automatic with 197,xxx miles
Having an issue which i hope can be solved asap as it is stopping my girlfriend from getting to work.
Ok, when driving the car around say 40mph an going around a turn it shuts off kick it in N an starts right back up but steering an everything shuts off obviously when the car shuts off.. also it shuts off when coming to a stop at a light or stop sign. my girlfriend is now afraid to drive the car because she thinks shes going to get into an accident. no signs that its going to do so before it shuts off just shuts down.. did it to me 4 times in a 5 mile trip anyone have an answer please help there is slight pulse in idle at times but only when the car is stopped an in park. hope this is enough information.

Did you see what the car was idling at when you made the turn? The idle could be too low...might need a tune up to reset the idle. Try downshifting to 2 or 1 when going around a turn to see if that keeps the idle up high enough so that the engine doesn't cut off.
