Please Help ! ! !

I have had this problem for almost 2 years. Sometimes when i turn my key over the engine just won't start. no clicking or anything just nothing, but if i immediately turn it to the off position and crank it again it starts right up...sometimes i won't see this problem for months or weeks, sometimes every couple of days or so. Really weird. No dead battery or resetting of default settings. I never have to wait for any length of time before tryin to start it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated! tryin to sell the car but i have a concscious and don't wanna sell it till its fixed. It's a 2002 Acura RL.

Could also be the Main relay . Folks on AW have a pretty long thread about the Signs and DYI...

I have a similar problem. My solution? Simply slow down when turning the key. It's yet to fail.

Ignition Problem

Ya i have the same problem with my 1996 RL. I read somewhere that it could be a weak battery but i just changed mine and it made no difference so don't waste your money. I think it has to do with the ignition switch itself. But unless it gets worse it's not worth the money to replace it.

ditto audax...its the slow response of the transponder...you gotta turn it slow...these cars were made for olds farts who are known to have very slowing motor skills so Acura figured they would save money by putting in cheaper transponders and now we young people are paying for it!

Kinda like same thing as Social Security but not really.
