PCM replacement on 98 RL

Hello all!
Just a quick question to see if I have to take the 98 to the dealer to get the PCM replaced. Have code P0153- tried new O2 sensor, cleared code. Code reset. TSB says have to renew PCM. NO problem, but...can I do it myself, or does it have to be programmed at the dealer?
Thanks!
OC

You can do it yourself.

Open the hood and take the battery terminals off for a few minutes. Then reconnect, drive around for about 20 miles or so. That should cause the PCM to "relearn" and adjust to your driving.

Thanks!
Does that also have any bearing on the keyless entry? Anything to relearn there?

You might have to "relearn" the keyless, thats a possibility. Same goes for your radio.. so make sure you have the 5 digit anti-theft code.

If you end up needing to do this, I can help

I have my car in at the dealer now and they're replacing/programming a new PCM. They are now asking for the red key which I don't have. Is this key necessary? I have the 5 digit code. Will that be enough?
