guys,
im trying to purchase a part from this website and I placed the order online with my credit card. When I call there to change the shipping address, the guy told me that I had to fax over my drivers license along with my credit card in order for them to release this order? This made me very suspicious. I told him I would but then I thought twice about it and I don’t think I am going to.
What is the deal with this place? Are they amateurs? Has anyone used them? Thanks in advance.

Look at it from his side....You place an order online, then you call and say I want to ship somewhere else.....He's probably just being careful. If your really that worried...cancel the current ored, then wait a few days and order again with the new address.
well on the online order, I put billing address and different shipping address just as they asked....why do they have section for that you know?
I cancelled the order and put a new order in with same billing and shipping address....

I have ordered parts from that website several time and they are a trustworthy business. The request to fax your drivers license was only to verify you are who you say you are. I had to do that once when I decided to have some rims I bought online in CA shipped to a tire shop in FL instead of my original shipping address which was the same as my billing address. It's a pain but it protects them from fraud. Your credit card company goes after them "not you" if the order turns up missing.
