New wheels and suspension on 97 RL
I just lowered my fiance's 97 Rl and wanted to let people know in case anybody is thinking about doing this. I used Acura legend type parts, Eibach springs, KYB struts and strut mounts and and acura spring mounts. One thing left to do is to get a camber kit for the front. I'm thinking about using either SPC or Eibach.
The stance of the car is fantastic, just a little lower on the front, and it drives like a brand new german car, no more wandering floaty boat ride. Steering is fast and accurate, minimum body roll, no harshness.
One note though, make sure you get Acura legend front forks for the front struts. I got mine at a junyard for $25.
As far as wheels I got 17" since my fiance doesn't like bling and to be honest neither do I.
I will post pictures tomorrow. I know there isn't a whole lot of info on suspensions for these cars so I wanted to help all those looking to get rid of what I consider to be the major detractor on this vehicle. I'll try to answer whatever questions you might have.
