I just bought a 98 RL this weekend and have been having problems with the stock alarm. Out of no where it started going off. Flashin the lights and honkin the horn. It was weird cause it didnt do it all day drivin around and parking it in many places. Then when it was sitting in my driveway it started. I read on another post that people said it could be the battery draining down. I had mine checked and it seemed to be ok. I also heard that using the inside trunk release may cause a problem if the car is shut off. This might have been for the newer RL's but I'm not sure. I absolutly love the car in every way except this annoyance. Please help me.
