I just got a new ( in the box) Sony Mex-n4100bt head unit from a friend.The audio in my 01 is still factory and 17 years later still kicks ass in my book. The only things I would change about our bose system is the lack of usb , bluetooth/hands free calling, voice command, and the front access of a cd port. The Sony has all of the forementioned. My questions are; Will the new deck still have the same sound quality with existing bose components and (not too concerned) will it be compatible with the factory cd changer? The Sony also has steering wheel control hookup. Thanks in advance peeps

 

What did you wind up doing? If you were going through the trouble, might as well throw in a nice double-DIN LCD stereo. I just put in a Sony XAV-AX100 and couldn't be happier.
