Need opinion on 2003
2003 non-nav with 112K miles, $6000 a good price? Is the car going to be reliable? Service records thru carfax says all services done on/before time. Only thing TB svc has not been done. Pics show in great shape and I am going to drive it tomorrow. Thanks.
Well, I have a 96 with 198k on the engine and I'm still drive it daily. In other word, yes the RL is a very reliable car. But you need to double check the price with KBB, and do a thoroughly research on it history, how often it gets an oil change, tune up yet, etc... Stuffs like that. If you going to get a test drive, the first thing you should do is open the radiator cap and check the fluid. Also check on the ground and engine to see if there is any oil leak. The RL is known to have rear main valve gasket leak (I forget what is called, mine starts to leak @ 165k and it still leaking slowly lol) on the back of the engine both side facing the firewall. Also check the transmission, how it drives. I highly suggest you test drive it for 30 minutes or so and turn off the car then wait like 5 mintues and then turn it on to check for blue smoke. On/off, on/off then check for blue smoke becuase Legend/RL have really suck vavle gaskets, don't ask how do I know it lol well hope that help. Don't fully trust Carfax, call the dealer ship where the services performed to double check.

Test drove the car, it drove very well. Was going to get inspection done, but backed out as I hated the silver with grey leather and dark dash console color. Seemed so blah! I really miss my 02 White/Tan with wood dash.
