Looking at a '99 RL priced at $7950
I am a new member & this is my first post! I am a die hard Acura lover (have owned 91 & 95 Legends) and want to purchase an older used RL. They seem to be relatively hard to come by! I found a very nice looking 99 RL on Craigslist and would like to hear from other members on whether $7950 is a good price (unfortunately, out of my price range) or if you think I should be able to offer a much lower price. The listed description is as follows:
1999 Acura 3.5RL, 100,XXX miles, 3.5L V-6 motor, timing belt & water pump just done along with NEW TIRES-BRAKES, power heated leather seats, power sunroof, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power steering wheel, factory radio with disc changer, alloy wheels.
I will appreciate any/all replies & advice!

All markets are different but I purchased mine a year ago with 99K for $5000. I had the timing belt done and did new brakes all around. I think you have a lot of wiggle room here.

Thanks so much for your input! I was thinking I might offer around 5K, but didn't want to get laughed off the lot!!

I've seen several '99s around the country priced a lot lower than this one. For the year, the miles are quite low (in my opinion) and the car appears to be in really nice condition. I'm not a car guru by any means, but I think the price is a bit steep!

Also, don't forget that the timing belt on this car is a pretty big deal, i think I've seen numbers thrown around that its a $2k job. Plus the new tires, brakes, etc. This car has a long way to go before any maintenance is needed. These cars are extremely reliable to begin with so you won't have to put any money into this car for a loooong time!
