i was wondering if you could buy an adapter and some how use the cassete player for the ipod. im talking about a direct connection. i know you can probabley use the cd changer port but i use the cd player. any insight would be great.

 

If you do not mind spending a little extra money you can have your dealer put in an adaptor for you, its not cheap, but it looks clean. If you want to go the cheap way, then I recommend you look on Ebay, they have adaptors like the one you are talking about.


Edit: I just realized you were talking 1st gen, look on Ebay, that will be your best option.

 

I found one for 109, but that requires me to disconnect my CD changer, which I don't really want to do. I was wondering if the tape player has a plug like the cd changer does on the back of the head unit.

 

You can get a splitter that plugs into the back of the headunit. That way you can pick between your CD changer and another device
