highest mileages...

just curious as to what kind of mileage these 1st Gen RL's can get. My wifes 98 RL is at 215,000mi. I consider that excellent....but can it keep it up compared to all y'all out there? Just regular maintenance and fixin' a problem when it comes along ya know?
What kind of mileage am i looking at among you 1st Gen owners???

I only have 196k miles. I should hit the 200k mark by the end of the summer easily.

195k miles on my 98 RL -- runs great, interior like new.
235k miles on my 99 Saab 9-5 -- also runs great!
Who needs car payments??

LOL exactly, plus cheap insurance too. Can't beat that, but the only down size is the MPG this car really suck.

However, at least in my case, my cars are pretty much fully depreciated, so even if I could get a 50 mpg replacement and drive it 20k miles per year the gas cost savings would disappear into the depreciation (and insurance) of the newer car....

2001 RL with 183K miles and loving every bit of it.

I'm done with car payments too after buying a new $28K SUV back in the day and then selling it privately (trading in is).
My RL too, is fully depreciated. Might be able to sell it for more than I bought it too, like I did with my prior Accord v6

99 w/211K, my goal is 250 but I'll drive it till it dies. It's amazing how well the interior of this car holds up...

My 96 RL had 251,000 miles on her when she went to auto heaven due to a blown main seal... Loved that car. I have a 98 Toyota Camry as a daily driver and it has 276,000+... My 71 Olds Cutlass convertible has 107,000...
