Hey guys i live in Montreal Canada aka the Antarctic lol. I have no heat . Thermostat is fine .. Rad is brand new so its not a leak.. the heat valve that opens to allow hot fluid over the heater core seems to be the problem. Anyone changed theirs before?

I unhooked the cable so i can manually leave it open but it just goes right back to being closed.

is there a way i can just keep the gate open? i dont need AC so....

i'm not sure how to get to it to change it.... and now all garages is scrambling to do winter tires, so its hard to get them to do small stuff.

Montreal has a mandatory Winter Tire law...yes it sucks but its a life saver.
