Help

Hi all. As you can see this is my first post so please bear with me. i'm actually trying to help my sister out who has a 99 RL. So in her car her rear view mirror the glass cracked. Is the only place that I can get a replacement is the delearship, or is there a cheaper place I can get one online. Also Her suspension is hella squeaky and thinks that her shocks need replacing. The car is also lowered. What kind do you guys recommend getting. I've heard good things about Koni Yellows. Is their a good site to get those from. Also her engine has a ticking noise and she thinks it's a valve tick. Anyone on here have something similar happen with the ticking. Also does anyone know how much it would cost to get the valves re-seated if that's what the issue is. Also She needs a new tranny mount. Is there a good aftermarket mount available that isn't too pricey. Thank you for all your help, I greatly appreciate it.

For the rearview mirror, does hers come with auto dimming? If so, this is a great alternative to paying for a replacement 3.5RL mirror. It's from the TL, but after talking to Tim Poliniak who now does parts for Acura of Peoria, he confirmed the mirror would work. The only downside is that it only comes in black. The part number is 76400-SEP-A02ZA. I paid under 90 bucks shipped for it if I remember correctly. Works like a charm!

Koni doesn't sell anything for the RL if I remember right. I'd say probably just get the 04 RL suspension which is a bit more sporty. It should pair better with her lowered car.

I have a ticking at idle, but we have hydraulic lifters, so I guess it's normal with higher milage? Has her car been well maintained? Timing belt and water pump done?

Tranny mounts should probably be changed at the same time as the engine mounts... haven't really fond any other options, so I guess OEM is the way to go.

I'd recommend you talk to Tim Poliniak about OEM parts. He gives great prices and his customer service is one of the best I've dealt with. I keep in touch with him pretty frequently too.

You can reach him at 1-866-347-8355 7AM-5PM EST. If you have AIM, his username is HondaAcuraWorld. You can ask for quotes and stuff on AIM too.

Koni Reds will work, with Legend forks up front. The rears are bolt in and itll also lower her her even more.

I have the ticking at idle as well, i think it might be normal with this engine.
